Life Writing Graduate Student and New Scholar Network
Who We Are
We are graduate students and new scholars interested in life writing practice and scholarship. Our network is dedicated to facilitating intercollegiate and international discourse and collaboration through three primary strategies:
Original Content: our Public Dialogues
interview series, Writing Back
scholarly review series, and members’ blog, Conversations, address key life writing questions and practices, fostering a dynamic platform for connecting otherwise disparate communities and projects.
Collegiate Events: The SNS Network organizes parallel, cross-chapter roundtables, workshops, and social activities at IABA regional and world conferences.
Social Media: Our website, Facebook page, and Twitter account share conference and event information as well as publication, job, and community project announcements.
Our hope is that the network will serve to make life writing practice and scholarship accessible to (post)graduate students and new scholars from a variety of disciplines, and establish a growing, diverse community of interlocutors.
